Why does the RESPONSEBALL™ help with the development of goalkeepers?

RESPONSEBALL™ has four external bumps added to it - which is why it is becoming known as "the ball with the bumps™". These bumps are positioned on four of the sides of the ball (if a round object can have sides?!) and therefore provide both a true bounce and the possibility of an unpredictable bounce.

Agility, shot-stopping, footwork, movement and making saves. Ever heard the saying "keep your eye on the ball"? Well, the RESPONSEBALL™ is an excellent training product to help the goalkeeper optimise his or her levels of concentration. With the ball giving a true bounce AND an unpredictable bounce the emphasis is on the goalkeeper to follow the line of the ball, not commit too early and react to where the ball will travel.
Hand eye/co-ordination is a fundamental part of goalkeeping at every level and the RESPONSEBALL™ is the perfect product for keeping your eye on the ball. How will it bounce? Where will it land? How will you respond?
PSYCHOLOGICAL
Using a RESPONSEBALL™ improves a keepers mental awareness. The visual impact of the unique design of RESPONSEBALL™ will give the keeper the idea that the ball will bounce irregularly, when sometimes it will actually bounce true. The psychological affect will be to always expect an unpredictable bounce. This means that the keeper will automatically concentrate more and follow the line of the ball more intensively – regardless of whether the result is a true bounce or an irregular bounce. This translates perfectly into the keeper's training and game play when using a normal ball as they will have 'trained' themselves to follow the line of the ball more closely. How will you respond?
